Library Rack

Posted

Hi,

Im having much difficulty setting up the Library Rack as stated in the manual. I cannot find it. I see Arrangement Rack and Global rack but no settings for a specific Library Rack

Ultimately, what I am trying to do is very quickly audition factory counterpoint and phrase lines with different instruments. Example, bass symbol or line sent to bass instrument, chord line sent to Piano instrument, Piano right hand or Line 1 sent to Synth.

This would help be very quickly audition not only factories but other libraries with various instruments.

Any help would be appreciated

The library rack has an icon on the toolbar (standalone library app).

In the arange window you can use View >> Library Sounds to make it visible.

Thank you.

Still, can you split instruments by symbol type or line directly from the library while previewing?

Also the option to View>Library sounds is grayed out in my arrangement. Ive tried everything and I am not able to ungray and toggle this option on during an arrangement.

Splitting is not possible during preview.

View Library Sounds is only an option if the current library actually has one.

Its tricky becuase if I setup a sound for a library then everytime i drag an phrase from that library, it resets the instrument to the Library sound and removes the arrangement sound I had for it.

Also, hope this helps, Im actually using UNIFY vst for quickly hearing different Factory counterpoints by splitting VSTs to the appropriate range in the UNIFY VST. Very easy, very efficient.

It should at least ask you. Does it?

If you enable preview with the arrangement sound (the green link button), it should keep your current sound.
