Synfire Pro Update 1.5.13

tools.jpgThis is mainly a maintenance release with a number of bug fixes, MIDI export and user interface optimizations. If you are a Logic user, some very important fixes will make your life easier. We recommend updating at your earliest convenience.

Here's what else is new:

Feature Enhancements:

- There should be a progress indication when loading large files
- Add a warning if DAW transport is not linked
- Add a pre-roll when starting transport from current segment/symbol selection
- Reversing a figure now defaults to "reversed tape" behavior
- Add new instrument after current one (was: before)
- Warn if AudioUnit is used as MIDI Drone (only VST supports that to date)
- Added more comfortable "Select Private Sound" button to inspector

Resolved Bugs:
- Clicking an existing chord selection in a progression should unselect it
- Issues with drone audio, if guest plugin has 4, 8 or more outputs
- Issues with drone in Logic when Logic switches render buffer size
- Time ruler selections must not mess with a running DAW transport
- Instrument inspector: Inserting/replacing a device description had issues
- Crash when clicking into vector display of Interpretation parameter
- Spacebar unresponsive once after segment playback
- Force Legato had issues with polyphonic figures
- Fixed issues with selecting tracks through keyboard commands
- "Adopt Properties From Sound" disabled if a replacement sound is used
- Eliminated "ghost loops" during figure editing

Other Changes:
- Drag & drop export: No longer require "Export" button to be pressed
- Drag & drop export: Reduced meta data in exported tracks
- Removed unnecessary "Export" button next to transport control (menu still available)
- Instrument inspector: Hints are misleading if port is unknown (shown red)
- Reduced verbosity of optional parameter explanations
- Sometimes last take showed up as "REC" after loading a file
- Recording MIDI input from engine requires engine to be on local computer
- Minor streamlining with instrument inspector
- Misc graphics tweaks
