Our YouTube Channel

cogtitle.pngYou may already have noticed that Cognitone opened a YouTube channel (see sidebar to the right). It took some time to get the production pipeline and tools set up properly, but now that everything is in place, we expect to get a lot more videos online soon.

There are many good reasons for using either YouTube or Vimeo to host tutorials, instead of hosting them on our own server. Bandwidth is not so much a consideration as you might think. The main advantage is full compatibility with many playback platforms (browsers, operating systems, mobile devices, tv sets, etc), better search engines and the ability to host superb HD quality.

Today I uploaded the first tutorial. It's about building a cinematic piano theme step by step from easy to play phrase overdubs. It fits into the "Workflow" and "Inspiration" category. Other videos from the "Setup" category will follow soon.

Note: The features Phrase >> Merge and Phrase >> Split shown towards the end of the video will be included with next version 1.5.12 - they are NOT yet present in the current version.

Be sure you switch to HD playback and full size view, if your bandwidth supports it.

BTW: You can now also add your own videos to any posting or comment using this tag:

Which will result in an embedded player like this:

As example Club Cubase http://www.youtube.com/user/ClubCubase
